Simone | Dear readers, Today I had little time (for a change), but I did a little experiment that I had been thinking about for a while. I usually use as a palette a magazine or something like that, not palettes that you buy in a store. After a while those palettes are completely filled with blobs of paint. I cut a piece of 10/10 cm (was not easy, sometimes through a very thick layer of paint), and worked there upon with paint and chalk. The result was not so overwhelming I thought, but it was an interesting project to paint in such a 'mountainous' landscape (so I will post it anyway). I've also added a photo of the same thing in the low december sun. Then you see the shadows. And a second photo of the palette that once served as an Ikea guide! Have a nice weekend! Simone |

Oh my gosh, Simone, I love everything about this painting and post! The painting jumped out and caught my attention immediately—it was as though we met for coffee and you walked in with a totally new (and well executed) hairstyle! Then I read your post and was further intrigued by your process. Thanks for describing it and for including the extra photos. In your painting, the black across the bottom, with the vertical lines through it and the shapes just below it, is inviting and says, Secrets here. Some Mystery.
