Lieve lezers,

Simone

Dear
readers,

Today I worked on 50/50 cm again (20/20 inch). It looks like a kind of 'animal' has come out again. Now I fear I will never get away from the beasts! But I guess I just have to let the things develop in their own pace ...

The 30-day program of Leslie Saeta makes me  focus on 'finished or semi-finished' work every day. Which is difficult if I work even slightly bigger. And  I don't want to skip the daily painting if possible, but the other responsibilities in my life don't seem to shrink;-)

And: I also want to try out things that have not the intention to create 'finished' work.  Sketches, cutting and pasting, try composition-things . There are so many new things to discover!

Have a very nice day, and thank you for your visit!

Simone

How I understand you! I see this challenge more like a comitment to paint everyday than a fixation on great painting. I just want to explore different avenues and see what happens.

I like this painting, simone!

Simone,

Fun to have you back after the weekend. Speaking of weekends, I know you don't commit yourself to painting then, and I so respect your knowing what is best for you and honoring it. Even during a 30-in-30 challenge, you honor your self-commitment. I applaud you!

I also admire, respect, and applaud your openness to letting "things develop in their own pace … " I am grateful for your model in doing so.

I encourage you to similarly let go of aiming for 'finished or semi-finished' pieces during the 30-in-30. Try out whatever you want! Post it!

I like this little (well, not as little as usual) creature you have created. She is watching me tenderly and with good cheer, hoping I will live my own advice!
